Kesari is a 2019 Hindi-language Action Drama film written by Girish Kohli and Anurag Singh. The movie is directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Sunir Khetarpal under the banner of Dharma Productions in collaboration with Cape of Good Films, Azure Entertainment and Zee Studios. Kesari is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language film directed by Anurag Singh. It is based on the Battle of Saragarhi and stars Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles.[1] Principal photography began in January 2018 and the film is scheduled for release in 2019. Kesari stars Akshay Kumar, Parineeti Chopra, Mark Bennington, Mir Sarwar, Edward Sonnenblick, Vikram Kochhar and Mushtaq Kak. The music was composed by Jasleen Royal along with Jasbir Jassi, Arko Pravo Mukherjee, Tanishk Bagchi, Chirantan Bhatt, Gurmoh and Raju Singh. Cinematography was done by Anshul Chobey and editing by Manish More. The movie has a running time of 150 minutes. It was released on 21st March 2019. Kesari was made on a budget of ₹126 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹151 crore. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Zee Studios.
